In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) concerning the processing of personal data, we inform you that by signing up as EHC member and to the EHC e-mail distribution list, your personal data will be stored and processed in a file owned by the European Honors Council Board (EHC), with the aim of handling your registration.
Unless you explicitly express otherwise, we may use your personal data to keep you informed of news and developments related to the activities and initiatives of the EHC and its members.
When you browse our website, request information about our activities, sign up for membership or sign up for our news alert, we collect your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
The EHC will never sell or lease your information to third parties. Furthermore, we will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. However, we use IT-solutions of third parties (such as phpList and Google Analytics) who have committed to comply with the GDPR-regulations.
Posts may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information. If you leave a post, this post and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically.
If you have an account on this site, or have left posts, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

This Policy was last updated on 5 April 2021. The EHC Board reviews this policy on a regular basis. If the Board decides on a revision, it will be posted on our website and the ‘Revision Date’ will be updated to reflect the date of the changes.
